Just like so many other crochet hexagon cardigans, the granny stitch hexagon is the starting point. It’s basically a granny square with 6 corners instead of 4. It’s an easy adaption for the granny square lovers among us.

It’s designed to be oversized. However, if you like a snugger fit, you can choose a size smaller.

This hexagon cardigan follows the typical construction format. 

• Crochet 2 hexagon panels. Fold them to form the pieces of a cardigan.
• Add rows to the back and/or bottom of the panels to add width and length if needed.
• Build out the sleeves to the desired length, ending with ribbing at the wrist.
• Finished off with a border that brings the whole look together.
