I am so honored to be a part of this beautiful crochet blanket. I hope you’ve enjoyed making your very own Serenity Throw Blanket so far.

With part 12, you’re almost done! You’ve been treated to a different crochet blanket stitch in each section to create a one-of-a-kind statement piece for your home.

For Part 12, I’ve chosen a crochet blanket stitch that evokes images of an old cobblestone path through the garden.

Using just 2 stitches (the half double crochet and the front post half double crochet) alternating across the row, the subtle texture of this crochet blanket stitch blends beautifully with the larger blanket.

The front post stitches add just the right amount of pop to provide a gentle surface texture.

This pattern is a part of the Serenity Throw Blanket CAL, which is a collaborative crochet-a-long designed by 12 different designers.

The 12 parts of the blanket showcase each designer’s crochet design style and all parts of the blanket come together to create one gorgeous blanket just for you!

Hosted by Shannon of The Loophole Fox and Agat of Made by Gootie, they’ve created a blanket that is worked in strips with one part on top of the other. The seamless construction means you don’t have to make pieces, then sew them together.

Pattern Notes

  • Stitch multiple: This pattern is a stitch multiple of 2. (If the pattern is worked independently of the blanket, add 1 st to the starting ch.
  • A ch 1 at the beginning of a row does not count as a st.
  • Once the pattern begins to emerge, it can be difficult to count the number of rows. Place a marker at the end of each even numbered row as indicated in the instructions.
  • Pull up the first loop of each front post stitch to the height of a normal stitch to avoid shortening the front post stitches and causing this section to pull inward.

Pattern Instructions

Row 1 (RS): Ch 1, hdc in the same st and in each st across, turn. (192 hdc)

Row 2 (WS): Ch 1, hdc in the same st, (FPhdc in the next st, hdc in the next st) across to last st, hdc in last st, pm, turn.  (95 FPhdc, 97 hdc)

Row 16: Rep Row 1.
